What is an ApplicantPro Market Analysis?

So what is an ApplicantPro Market Analysis?

A Market Analysis is done as part of our Recruitment Marketing offerings. There are 3 different parts to the analysis performed by one of our Recruitment Marketing experts.

  • We will look at how your pay compares to your competitors.
  • We will look at how your company reviews compare to your competitors' reviews.
  • We will look at your top employees and build a job-seeker persona to help you write killer job ads to target the perfect candidates.

How do these analyses work?

Competitor Analysis:

Once you sign on as a Recruitment Marketing client, this will be one of the first things we do. We start by reading reviews (how many stars) on major job boards like Indeed and ZipRecruiter... if reviews are low, we guide the employer on how to fix this. One way we suggest they fix this is to ask employees to write reviews... talk about why it's a great place to work, their thoughts on management, etc.

Job seekers are going to be checking out the reviews on job boards to see if it's a good place to work, so you want to make sure you've got great reviews!

The other piece to the competitor analysis is AI... we use AI to research your company, along with other similar companies in the area. We can see what things you have in common and what things you do differently that might be helping or hurting you.

Once these analyses are done, we follow up with you to share our findings... we basically say, " Hey, here's what we found, here's what we suggest you do to improve your situation." Then YOU can decide what to do with this information. We then repeat this process every 3-6 months.

Pay Analysis:

To conduct the pay analysis, our experts search jobs on Indeed & ZipRecruiter to see what others are paying (locally and nationally) for jobs similar to yours. Then they input their findings onto charts to further analyze the data they've collected. This analysis is done for each individual job that we help you post through our Recruitment Marketing program.

Once we complete the analysis, we come back with the findings to advise on how to proceed and make your jobs more competitive. This advice can be anywhere from, you're doing great and paying close to the average for your jobs, to suggesting you either raise your pay (if you're way off compared to competitors) or change your job titles to better reflect the pay rate (example: if you're listing your job as a marketing specialist but your pay doesn't fit that, it might be worth changing the job title to marketing associate that will better match the salary).

Job Persona Analysis:

To perform a job persona analysis, we start by asking you for resumes of your top 3-4 performers. We then compare each resume, including what their previous job was, the work experience they have, and what other skills they've listed...

Next, we input this data into a chart and analyze the information to see what they all have in common (we've even been known to interview their top performer to ask them what skills they came with that helped them the most to perform their job successfully). Then we work with you to write up a job ad that highlights those commonalities so we can find you the perfect candidates for your jobs. This analysis is done on a per-job basis.
