How to Sell Your Company As An Employer of Choice

End of November, I was asked by a client to speak to some city/county HR folks over in Lehi, Utah.

When I asked what they wanted me to speak on, they asked for a subject that I thought was absolutely awesome, but never expected to be asked by HR professionals.

They wanted to learn how they could sell themselves as an employer of choice.

The keyword here is SELL.

A few years ago, you could just post your job and have candidates begging to work for you.

But now? It's not that easy.

Unemployment is low, which means you're constantly competing with other employers for talent.

In this week's article, I'll show you that you don't have to be Google or Facebook for great candidates to choose to work for your company over the competition.

Write Better Job Ads Today!

Download our "Guide to Writing a Killer Job Ad" that will walk you step-by-step through the process of writing job ads that get dramatic results.

Wanna see the difference in results you get when you try to "sell" your job instead of just posting it like everyone else?

Ask yourself these five questions next time you have an opening...

1. Do I have a good product?

2. Am I focused on what makes me different?

3. Do I understand my target market, and do I go where they are?

4. Am I making a case for why people should buy my product?

Finally, but most importantly...

5. Do I make it easy to buy?

I can't tell you how many companies I've seen advertising awesome jobs, but they make it almost impossible to apply...

If a candidate has the option to print out your application and fill out unnecessary information or just move on to an online application that's streamlined and easy to complete, which do you think they'll choose?

Probably the latter, and who wouldn't!

So make sure that along with an awesome "product", AKA job, that you have a smooth and easy-to-follow process for the great talent you will be attracting.

Now, selling your job takes some work, but it definitely pays off when you start seeing an increase of high-quality candidates applying for your positions.

Are you ready to be an employer of choice?

Listen, it's easier than you think and I even have a guide that's going to help you start selling your jobs today. Download it here, put it to use, and you'll stand out to draw in unbeatable talent.
