Delivery Driver (HVAC)

We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled HVAC Delivery Driver to join our shipping and receiving team.

At Schebler, we take pride in being an employee-owned company, where every team member is invested in our collective success. As an HVAC Delivery Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring our products and materials are delivered efficiently and safely.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Operate company owned and leased trucks under 26000 pounds to facilitate shipping and receiving operations.
2. Stage items in preparation for delivery according to priority and job.
3. Load and unload truck using material handling equipment.
4. Assist with unloading of HVAC units and equipment at job site when needed.
5. Operate trucks for delivery, pickup and relocation of products and materials.
6. Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
7. Operate all material handling equipment.
8. Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
9. Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.
10. Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure.
11. Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
12. Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers.
13. Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.
14. Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you in excellent condition.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of truck driving experience required.

Minimum of 1 year experience operating a forklift required.

Certification: Valid Class B CDL License

Fork Lift Certification preferred

Necessary Skills:

• Ability to operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times
• Ability to make overnight runs as required by shipping needs
• Must be able to learn to operate all MHE used by the company
• Ability to safely drive various vehicles
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions

Other Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to a moderate noise level.
