Diesel Mechanic Heavy/Small Equipment
Diesel and Hydraulic Mechanic experienced working on backhoes, trenchers & bore rigs.
Electrical repair experience is considered a plus.
Candidates must have their own tools
Must ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines following operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions and engineering specifications.
Troubleshoot malfunctions. Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and testing instruments.
Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists and hand and power tools.
Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
CDL Drivers License a plus.
While performing the position Mechanic - it is occasionally necessary to crawl.
It is frequently necessary to squat, reach above shoulder level, crouch, kneel, balance, push/pull equipment.
It is continuously necessary to bend.
It is occasionally necessary to climb up to 12 feet.
In an 8 hour day, the employee can expect to stand about 5 hours and to walk about 2 hours.
The employee would occasionally be required to carry loads up to and including 100 lbs. and the employee would frequently be required to carry loads up to and including 74 lbs.
The employee would occasionally be required to lift loads up to and including 100 lbs. and the employee would frequently be required to lift loads up to and including 74 lbs.
The job requires repetitive movement of both feet. Simple grasping with both hands is necessary. Fine manipulation with both hands is necessary. Firm grasping with both hands is necessary.
The position of Mechanic also requires being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature/humidity, driving automotive equipment, exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
