Program Supervisor

Hope For Youth has an exciting opportunity for a Program Supervisor in our PINS (Person in Need of Supervision) Diversion Program! This role is based out of our Bellmore location. The Program Supervisor will be responsible for providing direct administrative supervision to the case planners in accordance with the agency and program guidelines.

To be a successful Program Supervisor, you must be ready, willing and able to do the following always:

· Meet weekly for supervision to review the service plan and progress being made.

· Utilize the CANS NY as the central focus of their supervision to determine which services are working and where changes need to be made.

· Review all progress notes and reports completed by the case planners.

· Be assigned cases as needed.

· Supervise 5 Case Planners and up to 100 cases at any time for a total of up to 200 cases open within the program.

· Perform other resulting and necessary work to meet the needs and requirements of the clients, the program, Hope for Youth, oversight agency and any other regulatory obligations



To qualify for this job, you need to be or have a minimum:

· LMSW plus 4 years' experience as a supervisor of case managers, preferably in the child welfare system.

· Excellent written, verbal and computer skills

· Flexible schedule to accommodate program needs

· Reliable transportation, able to travel throughout Nassau County and to meetings/trainings in Suffolk, as needed

· Participate in treatment team, case review, and other meetings

· Work collaboratively with referral resources and any other agency working with the family and the court

· Work as a part of an interdisciplinary team.

· Provide support for other projects and locations; travel as needed

· Knowledge of child serving systems

· Experience with adolescents necessary

· Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred)

· Valid NYS driver's license in good standing

· Physical Requirements: read/write reports and log entries, walking/standing/sitting for prolonged periods, bending/stooping, kneeling/squatting, climbing stairs, reaching overhead, repetitive wrist/finger movements, ongoing access to reliable vehicle and driving own vehicle for work


This opportunity is being offered as Full-Time, 35 hours a week.
