Job Brief:
The Program manager serves as the primary representative of the project. S/he has oversight of overall leadership on the technical interventions of the activity as it relates to all the goal, objectives, components to meet the performance indicator targets. Ensure that the project meets high quality standards and comply with donor requirements in terms of project implementation, reporting, monitoring and evaluation, donor rules and regulations as well as LWR policies and procedures. S/he assume direct responsibility for the management of human, material, and financial resources. S/he will manage relationships with the donor, the project stakeholders and Governments bodies. The program Manager will report to the Country Director.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Provide overall management and technical leadership to achieve expected project results
within budget and timeframe
• Ensure high level of coordination and harmonization, as necessary, and nurture
relationships with all key stakeholders, including partner organizations/at national and
country level, on administrative, financial, and programmatic matters related to the project.
• Oversee the project team of technical, program, finance, and operational staff to ensure project deliverables, tasks and responsibilities are met.
• Assume direct responsibility for the management of material and financial resources as well as take a lead role in strategic planning for the program.
• Lead preparation of annual work plans, project activity updates and other projectrelated
communication and reporting materials.
• Monitor Annual Workplans and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Plan to ensure that
the Activity is meeting goals and analyze reasons for any difficulties.
• Ensure regular reporting and timely submission of deliverables as required.
• Anticipate / Report any challenges to the country director that request support to find
solutions
• Ensure communication for the project in compliance with donor's branding and marketing
requirements, as well as LWRs internal procedures.
• Ensure that the project met high quality standards and complains with donor requirement in term of project implementation, reporting, monitoring and evaluation
• Conduct regular filed visit to monitor project activities.
• Coordinate with the country director in all aspects of program management
• Support the country director on Business development to extend the Country portfolio.
• Ability to travel at least 40% of the time.
Education & Experience:
• Master's Degree in rural development or social science including agronomy, agro-economy,
socio-economy, international development or similar field required,
• At least 7 years of progressively responsible work experience including operational support,
management, and finance/budget oversight of US Government funded development and
Humanitarian programs.
Qualifications:
• Deep commitment to LWRs core values and ability to model those values in relationships with
colleagues and partners.
• Relevant experience of managing Humanitarian and development programs, working with
internally displaced population for humanitarian assistance, livelihood support, Protection,
WASH and nutrition domains.
• Familiarity with US Donor including BHA, USAID regulations, compliance and procurement
procedures.
• Demonstrated experience managing programmatic and financial reporting requirements
• Project management work experience including direct supervision of professional and support
staff; and working in a multi-cultural and multi-linguistic environment.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to dialogue, network, and
negotiate with donor agencies, government representatives, international institutions, research
institutions and private-sector business professionals.
• Familiarity with, and commitment to inclusive programming including gender, Youth, elder,
marginalized groups, etc.
• Fluency in English and French, with professional proficiency in reading/writing is required
• Ability to travel within the Burkina Faso country

Working Conditions, Travel and Environment
• The duties of the job require regular attendance of at least 5 days/week. The employee must be available to work outside normal office hours or on the weekends as required. Corus has a hybrid work policy, allowing 50 percent of work to be done remotely.
• This position must be able to travel as required for standard domestic and international business purposes. While performing the duties of this job in different locations, the employee may be exposed to precarious settings under high security risks and/or very basic living conditions and outside weather conditions, as well as to infectious diseases.
