Program Assistant, American Statecraft Program
Program Assistant
American Statecraft Program
The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a unique global network of policy research centers in Russia, China, Europe, the Middle East, India and the United States, is seeking a program assistant to support the work of our scholars in our Washington, DC-based American Statecraft Program. This new program seeks to refine the contours of a disciplined U.S. foreign policy that is clear-eyed about a more competitive and disordered world, realistic about the limits of American power and the threats posed by other major powers, and rooted in the need to accelerate U.S. domestic renewal.
The program assistant will provide administrative support to the program, coordinate and plan meetings and events, make travel arrangements, prepare expense reports, track expenditures, support the grant writing process, perform database work, maintain mailing lists, coordinate newsletter production, and interface with the international public policy community. This is an excellent and demanding entry-level opportunity for an energetic, organized, detail-oriented individual interested in Carnegie's mission.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communications and computer skills and strong time management and multitasking abilities. An administrative background with experience tracking and reconciling budget expenditures is a plus.
Located in Dupont Circle, we offer an outstanding work environment and generous benefits.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected group.
