Graduate Admissions Recruiter
Capital University is seeking a Graduate Admissions Recruiter to recruit and enroll qualified and diverse students in its current and future graduate, adult, and continuing education programs. The Graduate Admissions Recruiter will report to the Director of Graduate Admissions and as part of the team will be responsible for processing applications and advising incoming students in conjunction with key departmental stakeholders such as deans, directors, and faculty. The Graduate Admissions Recruiter will develop and execute innovative tactics to proactively engage and yield prospective students to meet strategic enrollment goals. In addition, they will assist in the development of communications and marketing materials. They will plan, implement, and attend external and on-campus recruitment events, and generate effective communication tools using the CRM Slate. The position requires occasional travel, and limited weekend and evening work may be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
• Counsel and guide inquiries and applicants on the admissions process, program requirements, curriculum, and other university resources, from point of inquiry through matriculation.
• Manage inquiries and applicants by utilizing diverse outreach methods, including ongoing strategic communication, virtual and in-person appointments, email, phone calls, and others.
• Process and evaluate applications, recommend admission decisions, and assist incoming students in conjunction with deans, directors, and faculty.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of recruitment activities and strategies to cultivate and recruit qualified applicants.
• Track and assess the effectiveness of recruitment and admissions activities, and recommend and implement improvements to meet enrollment goals.
• Travel to graduate and job fairs, as well as other venues, to promote Capital's Adult and Graduate programs.
• Implement effective communication and candidate tracking tools within Slate CRM.
• Assist in the development and implementation of communications and marketing materials.
• Create and deliver effective info sessions, workshops, and other presentations to compliment recruiting activities and achieve enrollment goals.
• Work effectively with campus partners, including marketing, financial aid, registrar, and admissions operations, to achieve shared goals.
• Serve on appropriate university committees and task forces.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to manage and recruit prospective students to meet enrollment goals.
• Demonstrated success taking initiative, collaboratively setting and attaining performance goals, working without close supervision, and managing multiple priorities under deadlines.
• Ability to counsel and guide prospective and accepted students by accessing and providing information relevant to the admission and enrollment process.
• Ability to define problems and make data-informed decisions to improve outcomes.
• Strong student-centered ethic and customer service orientation.
• Ability to work professionally with others as part of a team, be adaptable, and work well with diverse co-workers and partners.
• Ability to effectively present information to a wide range of constituents, including senior organizational leaders, public groups, and people from diverse cultures and worldviews.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with CRMs
• Willingness and ability to travel; some weekend and evening work required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proficient in Slate and Ellucian Colleague.
• Familiarity with Higher Education Communications & Marketing
• 1-2 years related higher education recruiting experience preferred.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
