What You Do

  • Serves as a Propulsion Engineer providing technical, liaison and program management services for the ATE T700/T55 Product Office (PdO).
  • Supports the planning and execution of electrical, mechanical, aerospace, propulsion, integration, and software engineering activities.
  • Support technical and program management efforts related to the development and acquisition of turbine engines and turbine engine improvements.
  • Prepare Statement of Work and Requests for Information papers for future engine projects.
  • Supports the coordination, development, review and approval of analyses and trade studies, AWCF Program funding requests, and sustainment engineering efforts.
  • Review Changes in Design, Engineering Change Notices, Engineering Change Proposals and maintenance procedures as they relate to the power plant system of the H-47 helicopters and planned future vertical lift platforms.
  • Review technical manual changes, Safety of Flight Messages, Aviation Safety Action Messages, and Maintenance Information Messages (MIM's).
  • Provide interface and liaison between the Systems Readiness Directorate Airworthiness and the T700/T55 PdO.

What You Bring

  • Master's degree in Engineering
  • Experience and knowledge of aviation propulsion systems, drive systems, and subsystems and components
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with the principles of gas turbine engine operation, engine controls, and engine to airframe integration.
  • Experience in Program Management, knowledge of contract actions/SOWs/CDRLs and Integrated Master Schedules.
  • Knowledge of and experience with the development, airworthiness qualification, integration, system level qualification, reliability and maintainability, fielding, testing, and sustainment of engines and engine subsystems for Army aircraft
  • Review and tasking of CDRLS deliveries to external agencies and generating comment resolution memorandums
  • Secret clearance required

  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with ATE personnel and management and contemporary organizations and contract partners.
  • Ability to represent ATE requirements while supporting other PEO Aviation Acquisition Projects
  • Ability to manage complex developmental and engineering projects, work effectively with others and manage multiple projects simultaneously
