Recruiting Specialist (Texas-Based Contract)

We are looking for a remote Recruiting Specialist (Contract Role) who can work with hiring managers and interview candidates to identify who are qualified as part of our recruiting process.

Achilles Group is a boutique HR consulting firm in Houston, Texas that proactively delivers human resources expertise to small and mid-sized businesses (25 to 2,000 employees) in a cost-effective way. Job Summary: The Recruiting Specialist will conduct recruiting kick-off calls with hiring managers to learn more about each position they are recruiting for, create job ads and post the positions on our applicant tracking system, ApplicantPro. The Recruiting Specialist will create interview questions and conduct video interviews via MS Teams with all candidates who have been sourced and appear qualified. The Recruiting Specialist will communicate with the hiring manager including sending weekly email updates.

The ideal candidate is someone who has previous recruiting experience, feels comfortable conducting video interviews and has great organizational and communication skills. Achilles will provide training on our process and the systems that we utilize.

We are looking for someone who has:

1. Availability to work part-time hours during the day in a remote capacity. Initially working 5-12 hours a week depending on business needs.
2. Ideal available timeframe is between 10:00 am- 2:00 pm CST, with flexibility around this. This role will need to be available during the day for interviews, recruiting kick-off calls, and to communicate with hiring managers and candidates as needed.
3. Laptop/computer and Internet access to be able to log into our ATS system and Outlook.
4. Based in Texas, preferably in the Houston area.

Job Requirements:

1. Previous recruiting experience required including experience conducting interviews and working with hiring managers
2. Highly organized with a focus on details and a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
3. Computer savvy
4. Experience utilizing MS Outlook with Outlook calendar management a plus
5. Ability to analyze and interpret data and make informed decisions quickly
6. Professional demeanor
7. Excellent communication skills
8. Ability to follow up and prioritize
