Watts Dental Florida in St. Petersburg, FL is currently seeking a full-time Specialty Dental Assistant to join our esteemed team. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly rate of up to $35/hour.

This position entails a full-time commitment. Working hours are from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm on Mondays, and from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Fridays offer a shorter workday, from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, providing a balanced schedule conducive to professional and personal well-being.


YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR SPECIALTY DENTAL ASSISTANT

In this role, the Specialty Dental Assistant will play a pivotal role in supporting and working directly with, our periodontist and ensuring an optimal patient experience. Responsibilities include warmly welcoming patients, addressing their inquiries and concerns with professionalism, and providing invaluable assistance to the doctor during various procedures. The position involves the proficient handling of X-ray equipment, meticulous preparation of treatment rooms, and diligent maintenance of a hygienic and organized workspace.

Requirements:

  • 1+ year(s) of experience working as a Dental Assistant for an Orthodontist, Oral Surgeon, Periodontist, or other dental specialist
  • Experience with IV sedation and drawing blood
  • X-ray certification
  • DA certification

Experience working as a dental assistant for a Periodontist is preferred but not required.
